Appointment Pre-Care & After-Care

Teeth Whitening & Tooth Gems:

Following all of our pre-care & after-care instructions is very important to help ensure that you have a comfortable experience with noticeable results!

TEETH WHITENING PRE CARE:

-DO NOT brush or floss your teeth 6 hours before your appointment (mouthwash is fine!)

-Coming well-hydrated to your appointment will keep the process sensitivity free! (We recommend drinking 100oz of water within 24 hrs before your appointment.)

-Eat before your appointment! (You will need to wait 2 hrs after your appointment to eat.)

TEETH WHITENING AFTER CARE:

-DO NOT eat or drink for 2 hours following your appointment! (You can drink water! -Drink lots of water to help avoid sensitivity!)

-Do not smoke or chew tobacco for at least 2 hours

-DO NOT eat or drink dark colored foods or beverages for at least 24 hours

NO-Coffee, tea, dark soda, punch, red wine, tomato sauce, red meat, dark colored veggies, or anything of heavy color for at least 24 hours.

YES- water, white wine, chicken, pork, turkey, noodles, white sauces, white cheese, potatoes, etc. after 2 hours

-Next 48 hours- brush very gently with white toothpaste. DO NOT BRUSH GUMS!

-Any sensitivity is typically gone within 24 hours. Feel free to take an advil if you need help with sensitivity.

-Use your vitamin booster tonight for 20 minutes on your teeth and gums, then rinse. Repeat as often as needed. Use once a week until gone.

TOOTH GEM PRE CARE:

-Eat, brush and floss before your appointment! (If doing teeth whitening service too: Avoid brushing/ flossing for 6 hours before appointment)

TOOTH GEM AFTER CARE:

-DO NOT eat or drink for at least 2 hours following your appointment!

-Next 48 hours- DO NOT BRUSH, FLOSS OR TOUCH GEMMED TOOTH!

-DO NOT eat hard foods or candies for at least 24 hours. Eat only soft foods!

-DO NOT drink alcohol or acidic or bubbly drinks for the following 24 hours!

Tooth gems with us may last anywhere from 2 months to 36 months depending on personal care and lifestyle.

Gem may be removed by dentist or dental hygienist.
